Appeal Requirements
- Appeal must mention reason or justification for the appeal
- Candidate must produce certificate from a Government or Private doctor
- Certificate must note doctor is aware of physical and visual standards set by Railways for the medical category and that candidate was declared unfit per those standards by appropriate Medical Board
- Certificate must bear photograph and mark of identification of the candidate
- Issuing authority must mention its MCI or State registration number
- Appeal must be accompanied by DD of ₹1000 payable to FA&CAO of the railway where medical examination was done

Certificate Format
The notice includes a proforma for the medical certificate to be obtained from a government or private specialist, as per Railway Board letter No.2014/H/5/8(Policy) dated 07.07.2017. The certificate must confirm the specialist's awareness of the railway's physical and visual standards for the relevant medical category, acknowledge the candidate's prior unfit declaration by the appropriate medical board, and include the candidate's photograph, identification mark, and the specialist's MCI or state registration number.
